Dear Sir,
This letter is to identify Florida Power Corporation's Crystal River Unit 3 as the lead plant for the Babcock and Wilcox Owners Group Technical Specification Committee for the telocation of the Containment Isolation Valves Table. Items contained in the table will be removed from Technical Specifications and relocated to the FSAR. The requirement for contain=cnt isolation valve operability will still remain in Technical Specifications. The action statement and surveillance requirements will also remain in Technical Specifications. The relocation of this table is an administrative matter which would allow future addition of valves to be made without a license amendment. The removal of tabular listings from the Technical Specifications is an area of improvement of Technical Specifications identified by the Industry and the NRC.
The submittal from Florida Power Corporation is imminent.
