Vice President, Nuclear Operations 2420 W. 26th Avenue - Suite 1000 Denver, CO 80211 Gentlemen:
Our letter to you dated February 10, 1987, acknowledged your request dated January 21, 1987 (P-87031), for a partial and permanent exemption from the annual fee requirements of 10 CFR 171 for Fort St. Vrain Unit No. 1.
While we informed you that your request for exemption from the annual fees does not automatically extend the due date for any quarterly payment, a decision has been made that your Company should not make the April 1 quarterly payment until such time as we send an invoice to you for it.
Any subsequent quarterly invoices for FY 1987 will be contingent upon the outcome of our action on your January 21 request for partial exemption.
If your request is not approved, we will bill you for the April 1 quarterly payment, but will not assess interest, penalty or administrative costs unless you do not make payment within 30 days from the date on the invoice.
