DATA AND INFORMATION CAPABILITY Re: Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 1 By letters dated November 8, 1983, March 16, 1984, and January 10, 1986, Northeast Utilities responded to Generic Letter 83-28 with regard to the actions required based on the generic implications of the Salem ATWS events.

Our draft technical evaluation report, based on the information provided in your first two letters, was issued on November 6,1985. Your January 1986 letter provided additional information responsive to the open items in our November 6,1985 letter and the telephone conversation on December 16, 1985 between Northeast Nuclear Energy Company and Nuclear Regulatory Commission representatives. Based on the information you have provided in these three submittals, we have concluded that the post-trip review data and information capabilities for Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1, are acceptable.

This issue is, therefore, resolved for Millstone Unit 1. A copy of our safety evaluation is enclosed.
