Completion of Seismic Qualification and Pump and Valve Operability Programs
Dear Sir:
Reference (b) closed all but three of the open items for the Seismic Qualification and Pump and Valve Operability Programs specified in Section 3.10 of SSER-4.
The following is in response to the remaining items in-cluding, where applicable, the schedule for closure.
1.
SER Section 3.10.1.3; Applicant is to address the reconciliation of the g-load assumed for valves during seismic qualification with the actual g-load in the as-built conditions.
Response
The reconciliation program for comparison of the assumed g-loads for valves versus the required g-loads will be completed by June 30, 1986.
2.
SER Section 3.10.2.3 Generic Confirmatory Issues Item (5);
Applicant is to address those pumps and valves that were not qualified at the time of the NRC SQRT/PVORT audit in November 1985.

Response
All pumps and valves requiring qualifica*. ion that are in-stalled in the plant are now qualified.
All loads have been considered and the as-built conditions have been reconciled to the original design.

SER Section 3.10.2.3 Generic Confirmatory Issues Item (4);
Applicant is to address preservice testing.
At the time of the NRC SQRT/ PVORT audit in November, 1985, preservice tests were not complete.
Response
Preservice tests for a component, as required by ASME Section XI, will be complete prior to the operability mode requirement specified for that component in the Technical Specifications.
We trust this information is acceptable and request the status of these items be reflected in the next supplement to Seabrook's SER.
