JUN 2 0 W Docket Nos.: 50-445 and 50-446 Mr. William G. Counsil Executive Vice President Texas Utilities Generating Company Skyway Tower,t..B. 81 400 North Olive Street Dallas, Texas 75201

Dear Mr. Counsil:

SUBJECT:

PROGRESS MEETINGS We had been developing a letter requesting periodic progress reports on CPRT activities when we received the I.icensing Board's order of June 6,1986 which made a similar request. The Board's reouest should result in a report that suits the staff's purposes as well.

In addition, we continue to believe that periodic meetings also serve a useful purpose and request that they be continued, perhaps alternating locations between the Dallas area and Bethesda.

We believe that the meetings would be most productive if held after receipt of your progress reports. We therefore request that meetings be scheduled about 10 work days following the filing of the progress report.

Sincerely, Vincent S. Noonan, Director PWR Project Directorate #5 Division of PWR licensing-A cc: See next'page Distribution: '
