This refers to the inspection conducted by D. E. Norman of this office during

the period March 9-13, 1987, of activities authorized by NRC Operating
I
Licenses OPR-51 and NPF-6 for Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2, and to the
discussion of our findings with you and other members of your staff at the
conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included your IEB 85-03 program
implementation and followup on open items from NRC Inspection
Report 50-313/86-32; 50-368/86-32. Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative records,
interviews with personnel, and observations by the NRC inspector.
The
inspection findings are documented in the enclosed inspection report.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.
