SUBJECT:
CONTROL OF NRC RULEMAKING Your memorandum of June 3, 1985, referenced a classified proposed rule, 110.8(c) of Part 110, entitled " Export Control of Trigger List. Because the Commission has signed the Federal Register Notice and the final rule has been published, I approve the termination of Research's independent review.
'The NRC Regulatory Agenda (NUREG-0936) should be modified to reflect the status of this rulemaking.

CONTROL OF NRC RULEMAKING: TERMINATION OF RES INDEPENDENT REVIEW 0F RULEMAKING SPONSORED BY OIP On April 9, 1985,~ the Office of. International Programs forwarded a classified proposed rule to 110.8(c) of Part 110 entitled " Export Control of Trigger List--Amendment to Part 110" for RES independent review. Simultaneously, you sigr.ed the Commission paper (SECY-85-123), forwarding the proposed final rule to the Commission for approval. The Commission. signed the Federal Register notice on May 9, 1985. The final rule will be published on or about May-21, 1985.
'In view of the above circumstances, RES considers that continuation of the independent review of this specific ongoing rulemaking is not necessary.
Accordingly, RES is terminating the independent review and will make no-independent reconsnendation concerning whether to proceed with the rulemaking.
