Inspection Report No. 50-354/87-07
A routine safety inspection of your gaseous and liquid radioactive waste con-
trol program was conducted by Mr. H. Bicehouse cf this office on March 9-13,
1987.
Areas examined during the inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspec-
tion Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel and observations and calculations by the
inspector. We also reviewed your actions taken in response to previously
identified items.
Within the scope of this inspection, two unresolved items relating to testing
of the Hope Creek Generating Station's Offgas System and implementation of
changes to your Offsite Dose Calculation Manual were noted. We are also con-
cerned over the apparent lack of effective corrective action regarding your
process and effluent monitoring program. Although those problems were iden-
tified in your occurrence program and, as appropriate, reported as Licensee
,
Event Reports under 10 CFR 50.73(a), the problems appear to be repetitive.
