Dear Mr. Martin:
l Recent retirements of certain GA Technologies Inc. (GA) personnel have lead to some changes to our organizational structure. These char.Ces have been discussed at length with NRC staff, Region V and Headquarters.
In particular they address the retirements of R. Wolf (Corporate Secretary) and F. Bold (Health Physics & Safety Services).
With t'he retirement of F. Bold, Emergency Services now reports to the Manager of Security, and Health Physics reports to the Manager of Lic-ensing and Nuclear Compliance. Those compliance functions that had re-ported to the corporation's secretary now report to the Director of Human Resources through Licensing and Nuclear Compliance. Licensing and Nuc-lear Compliance includes those functions that had previously comprised
" Licensing and Nuclear Material Control" plus Nuclear Safety and Health Physics. These changes obviate 'the " dotted line" reporting relationship that had existed between Security (and Health Physics) and the corpora-tion's secretary. All functions responsible for compliance are now con-solidated under one person, namely, the Director of Human Resources who, as before, reports directly to the corporation's president.
'Ihe Security organization and personnel remain unchanged with the excep-tion that, as mentioned above, Emergency Services now reports to the Manager of Security.
