20555 Subj ect: Catawba Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-413 and 50-414 Priority Listing of Operating License Amendments Attached is an update of our September 20, 1988 listing of proposed Operating License and Technical Specification amendments which should be given a priority status over all other proposed amendments. This priority listing contains a brief description of the requested amendment, the submittal date, the date of any followup correspondance, a required issuance date, and the reason for the required issuance date. The amendments are not listed in any particular order and should be pursued based upon the required issuance date.

This listing is intended as guidance to be used in allocating resources for the review and issuance of proposed amendments. This list is not intended to preclude the pursuit of other Operating License or Technical Specification amendments which may need to be given a higher priority. This list will be updated periodically, as needed.

Major changes from the last update are as follows:

. The amendment to correct Table 3.3-10 concerning Accident Monitoring Instrumentation was issuel October 6, 1988 and has been removed from the list.

. The amendment to clarify the shared aspects of the Nuclear Service Water l

(RN) System was issued September 29, 1988 and has been removed from the list.

. The amendment to allow two more fuel cycles for resolution of the cold leg accumulator instrumentation issue was issued October 13, 1988 and has been removed from the list.

. The amendment request submitted on September 9, 1987 for Containment Penetration Conductor Overcurrent Protective Devices has been added to the list.

. The amendment request submitted on August 29, 1988 to clarify requirements for the Monitor Tank Building Control Room Annunciators has been added to the list.

. An amendment request to be submitted in December, 1988 to allow a larger operating band for boron concentration in the Refueling Water Storage Tank (FWST) has been added to the list.

. There is a possibility, depending on the operation of Unit 2, the Unit 2 outage will start in mid-February rather than March 3, 1989. The required lasuance date for itens needed before the Unit 2 outage has been updated to reflect this.

If you have any questions or comments concerning this list or any amendments addressed herein, please advise.
