Docket No. 50-461 Illinois Power Company ATTN: Mr. W. C. Gerstner Executive Vice President 500 South 27th Street Decatur, IL 62525 Gentlemen:
This is in response to your request, dated March 6,1987, for concurrence in scheduling of the next emergency exercise for the Clinton Power Station. As per our discussions with members of your staff via telephone, April 27, 1988 is an acceptable date for the next graded emergency exercise, but April 26, 1988 would be preferable to us from a scheduling standpoint. This is due to our intended performance of an Emergency Response Facility Appraisal in concert with the exercise evaluation. Past experience has shown that.an exercise date early in a week is most conductive to such a joint evaluation /
appraisal.
Should you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact Mr. James E. Foster of my staff at (312) 790-5665.
Sincerely,
