Subject:
FEMA-REP-10 Design Report: Additional Information Gentlemen New Hampshire Yankee (NHY) submitted the Seabrook Station Public Alert and Notification System FEMA-REP-10 Design Report (Design Report) for FEMA review on April 29, 1988 (Reference (b)). This Design Report reflects the final design configuration of the Prompt Alert and Notification System (PANS) for Seabrook Station.
Since the PANS was in various stages of completion, the Design Report was not intended to provide an installation status of the system.
In this regard, in addition to the Vehicular Alert and Notification System (VANS) change to the original PANS design configuration, the Design Report reflects design enhancements to the portion of the PANS located in New Hampshire.
At this time, all the New Hampshire related enhancements have been completed, with the exception of WS-4000 siren upgrades at fourteen existing siren locations.
NHY reaffirms its commitment to complete these upgrades and have the PANS operable in order to meet emergency planning l
requirements prior to authorization of full power operation. NHY will soon be submitting additional information regarding the present scheldule for i
ir a ' mentation of the PANS.
