Dear Mr. Redmond:

This is to ackncwledge receipt of your letter dated March 17, 1987, which transmitted changes to the "The Ohio State University Nuclear Reactor Laboratory, Fhysical Security Plan for the Protection of Special Nuclear Material of Moderate Strategic Significance," under the provisions of 10 CFR50.54(p).

We have reviewed the submitted changes and have detennined that they are consistent with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p) ar.d are therefore acceptable.

It should be noted that future revisions to this plan should be submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 50.4(b)(4). The requirements for physical security plan submittals are that one original and three copies of the

, plan be submitted to the Document Control Desk, United States Nuclear Regulatory Cornist, ion, Washington, D.C. 20555 and two copies of the plan are to be submitted to the appropriate Regional Office.

The enclosures to your letter contain Proprietary Information of a type specified in 10 CFR 2.790(d) and are being withheld frcm public disclosure.
