This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. M. Dev of this
office on April 7-11, 1986, at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Units 2 and
3, t) elta, Pennsylvania, of activities authorized by NRC License Nos. DPR-44 and
DPR-56 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Dev and Dr. P. K. Eapen
of this office with Mr. D. Smith of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspec-
tion Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspec-
tion consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative re-
cords, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Our inspector also verified the steps you have taken to correct a violation and
a deviation brought to your attention in letters dated February 9, 1984 and
October 12, 1984, respectively. We have no further questions regarding the
steps you took to correct these concerns (50-277/83-32-01 and 50-277/84-22-07).
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
No reply to this letter is required. Your cooperation with us in this matter
is appreciated.
