In accordance with instructions contained in Reference (1) and Technical

. Specification Amendments contained in Reference (2), we are submitting

! information concerning operability and availability of the La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor (LACBWR) for the Month of October.

The La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor was permanently shut down on

! April 30, 1987. All cumulative operability data has been fixed at the end of  ;

April 1987, since that was the termination of plant operation.

NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE OCTOBER The La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor was permanently shut down on April 30, 1988. Defueling of the reactor was completed June 11, 1987.

During the month of October, no safety-related maintenance was performed.

Both door gaskets on the Containment Building Emergency Airlock were replaced as per the 5-year Preventive Maintenance schedule. A leak rate test was than performed and leakage measured as .3899 SCFH. This is an acceptable test.
