Status of San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Medical Services Issues The purpose of this memorandum is to provide you a status of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) activities regarding the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station medical services issue. A copy of the attachments to your February 5, 1987, memorandum on this subject has been forwarded to FEMA Region IX for their information and review. The attachments included the Ccanission's Remand Order and subsequent Orders issued by the Licensing Board; the December 10, 1986, Board Notification issued by the staff which appends the Canmission policy statement relevant to medical services; and the transcript of the January 12, 1987, con-ference call.

A review of revised medical services plans and procedures will be undertaken by our Region IX office once the appropriate materials are subnitted by the State of California and/or the Southern California Edison Canpany. At this time no docu-mentation has been provided. Approximately 30 days will be required to ccanplete the review once the materials are received. Following this review a finding will be forwarded to your office.
