Withdrawal of Applications for Amendments By letter dated April 30, 1986, Kansas Gas and Electric Company requested to withdraw applications for amendments to Wolf Creek Generating Station Facility Operating License No. NPF-42. The applications were dated January 20, 1986, and March 27, 1986, and related to deferments of certain surveillance intervals to allow continued operation of the plant until the first refueling outage.

The request to withdraw the applications was granted since a forced outage in early April 1986 allowed you to perfonn the subject surveillances within the required time frame, thus alleviating the need for the proposed amendments.

The Coninission has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Applications for Amendments to Facility Operating Licenses with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
