This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. Barry S. Davidson
of this office on September 26-30, 1988, at Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power
Station in Vernon, Vermont, of activities authorized by NRC License No. OPR-28
and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Davidson with Mr. Wanczyk
and others of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection on
September 30, 1988.
Areas of the radioactive waste transportation program were examined during
this inspection and are described in the report enclosed with this letter.
Within these areas, the in',pection consisted of selective examination of
procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel and
observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this review, no violations were found.
No reply to this letter is required. Your cooperation with us in this matter
is appreciated.
