This refers to the above subject resident inspection of Millstone Units 1 and 2.
The inspection findings have been discussed with Mr. Scace of your staff.
No
violations were identified and no reply to this letter is required.
Section 11 of the enclosed report summarizes the Unit 2 fire protection meeting
of February 24, 1987. We wish to call your attention to our conclusions that you
may need to submit 10 CFR 50, Appendix R exemption requests and that you should
consider applying interim compensatory measures where an exemption request may be
appropriate.
