A routine safety inspection of your emergency preparedness program was conducted
by Mr. Christopher and Mr. Conklin of this office August 16-18, 1988 at the
Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station, Brattleboro, Vermont. Ciscussions of our
findings were held by Messrs. Christopher and Conklin wi+h Mr. J. Pelletier
and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
inspection report which is enclosed. Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative records,
interviews with personnel and observations of the inspectors.
Within the scop of this inspection no violations were identified and no reply
