Inspection Report No. 50-245/88-18
This letter refers to the special inspection conducted by Messrs. Kaplan and
Carrasco of this office on September 12-16, 1988 at the Millstone Nuclear
Power Station - Unit 1 in Waterford, Connecticut. Messrs. Kaplan and Carrasco
discussed the results of the inspection with J. Stetz of your staff at the
conclusion of the inspection.
This inspection focused on modifications made to the Mark I containment torus.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection
Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selected examinations of procedures and representative records,
interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspectors.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
