BOARD NOTIFICATION NO. 87-07 REGARDING ENVIRONMENTAL OUALIFICATION OF C0 AXIAL CABLES ASSOCIATED WITH IN-CONTAINMENT RADIATION DETECTION EQUIPMENT In accordance with the NRC procedures for Board Notifications (BN), and as a followup to Board Notification BN 87-04, the following document is provided for information of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board:
Letters from G. S. Thomas (PSNH) to Document Control Desk (NRC), " Request for Information Regarding G.A. Technologies 10 CFR 21 Report on Rockbestos Cable" datec March 18 and March 26, 1987.
The letters from the applicant are in response to a staff request for information on applicant corrective actions to resolve coaxial cable problems. The applicant stated that the Rockbestos Cable, the subject of the 10 CFR Part 21 report from G. A. Technologies, Inc., was not associated with equipment which was specifically addressed in the applicant's and staff's testimony with respect to the environmental qualification contention. The staff, therefore, has ne reason to believe its testimony to the Board needs to be changed.
