Dear Mr. MacDonald:
The proposed ratchet binder closure system transmitted by Reference (1) is hereby withdrawn. Enclosed please find eight copies of revised pages for the CNSI 8-120B Safety Analysis Report which supersedes the Reference (1) proposed-amendment in its entirety. The present approved status of the SAR is revision 4, March 1985. The enclosed revised pages are designated as revision 5, November 1985. This-transmittal also includes a revision to the package drawing, C-110-E-0007 The changes made are summarized on Attachment One. for your convenience. The changes incorporated in the SAR and drawing are needed to accomodate material availability and fabrication details.
None of these changes affect the conclusions of ~the Safety Analysis. Certain editorial corrections have also been made to the SAR, to reflect-the previously approved use of 20 primary lid closure bolts.
Please note that the drawing submitted for incorporation in the SAR, C-110-E-0007 (NP), is non-proprietary and includes all information of importance to the safety analysis.
wit is our understanding that the application fee forwarded with Reference (1) may be used to initiate review of this amendment.
Please feel free-to contact me or Kevin Kingsley of my staff, with any ouestions, g
