Beaver Valley Power Station Unit No.1 Docket NO. 50-334 License No. DPR-66 Semi-Annual Radioactive Effluent Release Report for the Second Six Months of 1986 Centlemen Under the Beaver Valley Power Station Unit No. 1 License DPR-66, and in accordance with the requirements of Specifications 6.9.1.12 and 6.9.1.13 of the Technical Specifications, this addendum to the Semi-Annual Radioactive Effluent Release Report is hereby submitted.

This addendum is issued to add the licensee initiated changes made to the Offsite Dose Calculation Manual (Issue 1, Revision 2) during the report period (See Attachment). These changes were inadvertantly omitted from the original report submitted to you by cover letter dated February 25, 1987.

A description of the changes incorporated on July 8,1986 are as follows:

1.

Provide a flow based monitor setpoint adjustment factor in ODCM Section 1.1.2.

This change makes ODCM Section 1.1.2 consistent with ODCM Section 1.1.1 and current procedures.

2.

Revise the 31-day dose projection limits and methodology in ODCM Sections 1.3.2, 2.3.1.2 and 2.3.2.2.

This change corrected the 31-day dose projection limits and changed the dose projection methodology to be consistent with proposed software.

Revise the ODCM Gaseous Effluent Monitor Setpoints in ODCM Sections 2.1.1 and 2.1.2.

They were revised due to pressure corrections determined for the detectors, changes in isotopic literature, and the addition of SPING Channel 5 alternate monitor data.

The calculations supporting this item are contained in Duquesne Light Company Internal Calculation Packages ERS-SFL-85-031 and ERS-ATL-86-008.

For information, the Unit 1 Offsite Dose Calculation Manual is currently being revised to reflect changes necessary for two unit operation.

For example, the rewrite will again revise the ODCM Gaseous Effluent Monitor Setpoints due to the BVPS-2-FSAR including revised source terms for BVPS-1 effluents (revised per PWR Gale Code; NUREG-0017).
