This letter refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. A. A,
Varela of this office on January 7-9 and 12, 1987 at the Limerick Unit 2 L
Nuclear Generating Station. Mr. Varela disscussed the findings of the in!pect-

ion with Mr. G. Lauderback of your staff at the conclusion of the inspecpi.on.

Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I f
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas,,the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
