Inspection 50-289/87-02
During the period from January 9, 1987, to February 6, 1987, members of the NRC
Region I staff conducted routine safety inspection activities at your facility.
The results of these inspections are documented in the enclosed report. At the
conclusion of the inspection, Mr. F. Young of my staff summarized the inspec-
tion findings with Mr. R. Toole and other members of your staff.

This letter acknowledges the receipt of your letter, dated October 13, 1986,
which responded to the Notice of Violation in Inspection Report 50-289/86-12.
Those violations were as a result of our review of the first Performance
Appraisal Team (PAT) inspection.
Generally, we have concluded that the cor-
rective action steps taken and which will be taken to correct the violations
are acceptable. Some of those actions were reviewed in the second PAT inspec-
tion and the remainder will be verified in a future inspection.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations of regulatory requirements
were identified.
No written response is required.
