Dear Mr. Denton:

Pursuant to 10CFR 50.54(p), please find attached the signed original and three (3) copies of Revision 9, to the Oconee Nuclear Station Contingency Plan.

Revision 9 was developed to address the overall deletion of the Alarm Station system and function from the Oconee Security System and the addition of the CAS and SAS system and function to the Oconee Security System.

Specific plan changes are addressed in the attachment. Revision 9, does not decrease the effectiveness of the Oconee Nuclear Station Safeguards Contingency Plan.

This material is applicable to the security provisions at Oconee Nuclear Station; therefore, Duke requests that this material be withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10CFR 73.21.
