Beaver Valley Power Station - Unit No. 2 Docket No. 50-412 Revised Fuel Load Date Gentlemen:
It is necessary to revise the scheduled fuel load date from April 30, 1987 to May 21,1987.
We are presently replacing the three Main Steam Isolation Valves (MSIV) which are rotating ball type with "Y"
pattern globe valves manuf actured by Atwood Morrill.
These air to open, spring to close valves should be installed and tested by June 30, 1987.
However, since the reactor plant wil l not be affected by the valve replacement activity, it is our intent to proceed with fuel load starting on the date indicated above.
The BV-2 Unit will be maintained in bbde 5 in order to permit cold check out of the reactor and associated NSSS components prior to the completion of the MSIV replacement.
