RELEASE OF INFORMATION ON ECCS EVALUATION MODELS (TAC NO. M990308)

Dear Mr. Anderson:

On September 8,1998, you sent NRC a report of corrections to Northern States Power ,

Company's (NSP's) emergency core cooling system (ECCS) evaluation models. Page 1 of l Attachment 1 had Westinghouse proprietary markings which resulted in both Attachments 1 and 2 being withheld from public disclosure.

We discussed the proprietary status of these attachments with your staff by telephone and by letter of March 8,1999, NSP informed us that the attachment had inadvertently been marked -

proprietary and provided page 1 of the attachment without proprietary markings.

Based on the information provided in the March 8,1999, letter, we will place both Attachments 1 and 2 (four pages) of your September 8,1998, letter in the NRC Public Document Room.
