GPU Nuclear Corporation Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station NJPOES Permit No. NJ 000 5550 Enclosed is the Discharge Monitoring Report for the suoject permit far the month of March 1985. Please note that there were no macompliances with any maximum or minimum effluent limitation during this reporting period.

Also, note that two corrections are being submitted one for January's DMR and one for February's DMR. The corrections are as follows:

January 1985 DMR Submitting a corrected page for Discharge Number HEC indicating the correct minimum, average, and maximum delta temperatures. Tne discrepancy was recognized while conducting an internal review of NJPDES data.

February 1985 DMR The February DMR fonns indicate that the date of signature was April 12,1985. The correct date of signature is March 8,1986.

Also the cover letter was dated March 12, 1985, the correct date is Maren 8,1985.

' Comments for Dyster Creek March 1985

1. The Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station operated all days during March except March 1-4, 1985.
2. Circulating water pumps 1-1 and 1-4 were operated all days during'the month.

Circulating water pumps 1-2 and 1-3 were operated all days during the month except March 1 and 2.

3. Dilution pump 1-1 was operated all days during the month except March 1, 2, 15-19.

Dilution pump 1-2 was operated on March 3,11-28.

Dilution pump 1-3 was operated on March 3-11,14-20, 25, and 27-31.

4. The main condensers were not chlorinated during March.
5. The value reported for total suspended solids, discharge DMW is the average value of the analysis of two aliquots of the same sample.
6. During the first quarter 1985, plant screenings were taken to the Southern Ocean Landfill by registered hauler.
7. As permitted by condition 9b(1)b of the permit, the discharge-intake temperature difference exceeded the 230F limitation as a result of maintenance activities at the intake structure requiring the following circulating water pumps to be removed from service:
