By letter dated March 22,1991, Southern California Edison (SCE) submitted i
the Simulation Facility Certification letter as required by 10 CFR 55.45(b) (5) (i). In j
accordance with 10 CFR 55.45(b) (5) (ii), SCE is required to " Submit, every four years on the anniversary of the certification, a report to the Commission which identifies any uncorrected performance test failures, and submit a schedule for correction of such performance test failures, if any." This letter provides the report due on March 22,1999 (Attachment).
' All performance testing scheduled between March 22,1995 and March 22,1999 has been completed, and there is no uncorrected performance test failure for the simulator.
Thus, a correction schedule is not needed.
10 CFR 55.45(b) (5) (vi) requires that a certification report *..must include a description of performance ter, ting completed for the simulation facility, and must include a description of the performance tests, if different, to be conducted on the simulation facility during the subsequent four-year period, and a schedule for the conduct of f
approximately 25 percent of the performance tests per year for the subsequent four years."

Documsnt Cohtrol Desk March 12,1999 San Onofre procedure, SO23-XXI-3.1.2, " Simulator Performance Test Scheduling,"
included in the Attachment, describes the performance testing completed since March 22,1995. SCE will use the schedule in this procedure for required simulator performance testing for the upcoming four-year period.
