Dear.Mr. Ratliff:
18, i This 1987,isconcerning in answer possession to the information supplied of a quantity in yourbyletter of Pu-239 of February a Texas licensee (Texas State Technical Institute) in excess of formula quantities of special nuclear material.
We understand the Texas licensee has no intention of obtaining an NRC license, will dispose of the excess quantity of Pu-239 under contract with Chem Nuclear in South Carolina, and will send NRC, Region IV a copy of a report of the disposition of this material as soon as the disposition is final. We also i understand the Texas license will be amended accordingly by the Bureau's licensing staff.
