Safety Considerations The activity of the total quantity of.SNM to be possessed
~
235 under the license will be less than that listed for.U in Appendix C of Part 20.
Therefore, no labelling or posting will be required.
Fully enriched uranium in a metallic cladding presents no.
radiation protection hazards.
On the order of 4 milligrams of the material ^are plated onto the'inside surface of'a bullet shaped capsule ~as the insoluble oxide.
If a tube were to b~e some, how ruptured,' no more-than 1/10 of the contents (0.4 milligrams or about 0.028~ micro-curies of ' activity) would credibly be: released.
Thus, this maximum credible-accident would result in an exposure to an individual of approximately one-half the dose permitted by 10CFR10.101(b).
The total quantity of SNM to be possessed under the license will be insignificant.with respect to nuclear criticality safety.

Technical Qualifications The extremely limited quantity of licensed material negates any requirement for specially-qualified personnel.
In the event of an accidental release of,SNM, the area will be cordoned.off and radiological advice and assistance will be obtained from:
Nuclear Research Corporation Street Road at Second Street Pike Southampton, Pennsylvania 18996-Records will be maintained to provide reasonable assurance that all-assemblies received from the supplier which contain licensed material are, in fact, either returned to the supplier as defective material, or shipped to a using reactor site.
