This is in reference to your letter dated February 24,1999, and the comments by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Carolina Power and Light Company (CP&L) on the draft biological opinion (BO) completed by the National Marine Fisheries Service, Southeast Regional Office (NMFS, SERO) for the cooling water intake system at the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant (BSEP), that were enclosed.

NRC comment I and CP&L comment 2 refer to the same item. The wording in the BO was changed to reflect the information given in CP&L's comment 2.
