REVIEW 0F RESPONSES TO GENERIC LETTER 83-28, ITEMS 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.2.1, 3.2.2 and 4.5.1 RE: PEACH BOTTOM ATOMIC POWER STATION, UNITS 2 AND 3 By letters dated November 4,1983, April 23,1984, June 29,1984, August 31, 1984 and February 1, 1985, the Philadelphia Electric Company provided its planned and completed actions regarding the specific actions outlined in Generic Letter 83 28 (July 8, 1983). Our enclosed Safety Evaluation addresses the following actions of Generic Letter 83-28:

3.1.1 and 3.1.2, Post Maintenance Testing (Reactor Trip System Components) 3.2.1 and 3.2.2, Post Maintenance Testing (All Other Safety-Related Components) 4.5.1, Reactor Trip System Reliability (Systems Functional Testing)

We have concluded that your responses to items 3.1.1, 3.2.1 and 4.5.1 for the Peach Bottom facility are satisfactory and therefore, our review of these items is complete. For Items 3.1.2 and 3.2.2, further action is required on the part of Philadelphia Electric as noted by your submittals. We request that you notify the NRC staff upon completion of the required action outlined in your submittals dated April 23, 1984, August 31, 1984, February 1, 1985, and March 14, 1986. Upon notification and receipt of your pending responses to these items, we will followup and supplement our Safety Evaluation, as appropriate.
