SUMMARY
- SEPTEMBER 16, 1988, NEW PEQUALIFICATION METHODOLOGY On September 16, 1988, Mr. Austin Scott, Vice President, Nuclear Operations.
TV Electric, visited the Region IV office on short notice and met with John Pellet, Chief, Operator Licensing Section, Division of Reactor Safety.
Mr. Scott and Mr. Pellet #11scussed general information on the new operator requalification examination methodology, including general information on constructing open reference examination questions.
No technical issues were l
addressed.
The discussion centered on how the new requalification methodology differs from that used in the past..md how item construction requirements have evolved to the current process. Special emphasis was qiven to some of the flaws that can exist in open reference questions, and how to avoid them.
