Dear Mr. Gears:
This letter confirms information previously provided to you by telecon.
The referenced letter requested a point of contact within the Philadelphia Electric Company who NRC research personnel can contact to obtain information to support a study of Generic Issue 105.
This issue pertains to the potential for a breach of the interface between the reactor coolant system and low pressure systems, resulting in a failure of the Emergency Core Cooling Systems.
As stated in the referenced letter, the NRC researchers will need plant specific information and data on the Peach Bottom facility.
The request for specific information should be directed to Bill Birely, Peach Bottom Senior Licensing Engineer, (215) 841-5048.
He will coordinate the collection and transmittal of such information.
Since the collection of information may require some research on our part, please have the NRC researchers consider this fact in their timing of the specific requests.
