Operating License No. OPR-73 Docket No. 50-320 Safety Evaluation Report for the Addition of a Blocide to the TMI-2 Reactor Coolant System Attached for your review and approval is the Safety Evaluation Report (SER) for the Addition of a Biocide to the TMI-2 Reactor Coolant System (RCS). The biocide being proposed is hydrogen peroxide. Addition of the blacide is necessary to facilitate removal of the organic material from the RCS. The SER shows that hydrogen peroxide can be added to the RCS without undue risk to the health and safety of the public.
Per the requirements of 10 CFR 170, an application fee of $150.00 is enclosed.
