Source Range Controls NRC Docket Nos. 50-456 and 50-457 Reference (a): September 26, 1986 letter from K. A. Ainger to H. R. Denton.

Dear Mr. Denton:

The purpose of this letter is to inform you of completion of a human engineering deficiency (HED) for Braidwood Station Unit 1 as -

identified in the Byron SSER 4 (NUREG-0876). Commonwealth Edison Company -

agreed to relocate the range and volume controls for the source range -

nuclear instrumentation channels located on cabinet IPM07J to the main control board IPM05J pending successful testing. This testing has proven to be successful as referenced above.

The source range and volume controls have been relocated and successfully tested at Braidwood Station Unit 1. These controls will be relocated at Braidwood Station Unit 2 prior to its fuel load.
