McGuire Nuclear Station - Unit 2 Docket No. 50-370 Gentlemen:
On June 25, 1986, an automatic start signal of both Unit 2 Auxiliary Feedwater System pumps was received due to the loss of both main feedwater pumps. One Auxiliary Feedwater pump did not automatically start as expected due to an open breaker. Unit 2 was in Mode 2, Startup, at the time of this event. The Licensee Event Report for this event will be subr.nitted by August 25, 1986 pending comple-tion of the appropriate investigation by Duke Power Company.
