This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Dr. Jin W. Chung of
this office on June 21-24, 1986 at the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station,
Vernon, VT of activities authorized by NRC License No. CPR-28 and to the dis-
cussions of our findings held by Dr. J. W. Chung with James Pelletier of your
staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with th'- letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
