Dear Mr. Buckley,

ShoreBank Enterprise Group has an urgent need to accommodate the move-in date and attendant construction requirements of a major leasing prospect 7 the first floor of the south wing of Glenville Enterprise Center. As you are aware, certain areas of this wing are part of the scope of remediation now taking place in nur buildirig. I would like to begin demolition in this area as soon as possible pending your approval I've enclosed a set of dcmolition plans to help you understand the scope of this work.

Please let me know as soon as possible whether you will permit the demo phase of this project to move forward.

Demolition of walls in Southeast Wing 4

Based on the results of post remediation survey data and initial characterizion surveys, Demolition of walls in the Southeast Wing will not pose a risk due to the presence of contamination. As a safety measure the walls will be checked periodically to ensure that contamination is not exposed during the removal of

the walls, if contamination is encountered work will be stopped and trained personel will remediate the area. Radiological Personel will coordinate with John Senoeniger as to wich walls will be demolished so that surveys can be perfonned when needed. If you have any questions or need specific information please contact Tim Colgiazier at 216-268-6204.

The release criteria for the demolition of walls in South East Wing will be 50% of the Accepted Release Criteria, if the limit is encountered the demolition will be stopped and appropriate radiological action will be taken. I called Tim Colglazier to discuss the status of remediation activities at the Clevite site.

Sevenson Environmental Services (SES) is in the process of remediating Room 16.

SES has just completed the final survey of rooms in the SE wing.

Tim informed me that John Schoeniger. Shorebank Enterprise Group (SEG). would like to remove a few walls in the SE wing in preparation for future tenants of the building.

He asked me if I thoght that would be a problem.

SEG will send a request for approval to demolish a few walls in the next few days.

I mentioned that generally NRC prefers to have the licensees final survey

-completed and NRC confirmatory survey completed before releasing material from the site.

Colglazier informed me that the walls SEG would like to remove were never contaminated and have not been involved in the remediation efforts.

These walls were surveyed during site characterization and found to be uncontaminated.

He also mentioned that SES has completed its final radiation survey in the areas in question, and they are clean.

SES will send a letter supporting SEG's request.

SES will state it its letter that they will scan material that has not been previously surveyed before it leaves the facility, Action items:
