Dear Dr. Asmussen This letter acknowledges receipt of your letter dated October 9,1998, which transmitted 1 changes to the General Atomics Radiological Contingency Plan submitted under the provisions I of 10 CFR 50.54(q).

Based on your determination that the changes do not decrease the effectiveness of your plan, l and that it continues to meet the requirements of Appendix E to 10 CFR Part 50, NRC approval l

is not required. Our initial review of these changes indicates them to be in accordance with '
