REPORT MONTH: November 1997 OPERATION

SUMMARY

The plant entered November at approximately 100 percent core thermal power (CTP) where it was essentially maintained until November 5,1997.

On November 5,1997, at 1810 hours0.0209 days <br />0.503 hours <br />0.00299 weeks <br />6.88705e-4 months <br />, the plant reduced power in response to a "B" recirculating pump trip while performing a surveillance. On November 6,1997, at 2155 hours0.0249 days <br />0.599 hours <br />0.00356 weeks <br />8.199775e-4 months <br />, the plant attained 100% CTP where it was essentially maintained until November 14,1997. On November 14, 1997, at 1805 hours0.0209 days <br />0.501 hours <br />0.00298 weeks <br />6.868025e-4 months <br />, the plant reduced power in response to receiving the "D" moisture separator drain tank level high alarm. On November 15, 1997, at 0201 hours0.00233 days <br />0.0558 hours <br />3.323413e-4 weeks <br />7.64805e-5 months <br />, the plant attained 100% CTP where it was essentidly maintainM until November 21,1997. On November 21,1997, at 2340 hours0.0271 days <br />0.65 hours <br />0.00387 weeks <br />8.9037e-4 months <br />, the plant commenced a planned reduction in power to perform a thermal backwash of the main condenser. On November 22,1997, while ct reduced power for the main condenser backwash, main steam isolation valves (MSIVs) AO-203-1C and AO-203-2B did not indicate fu!! closed during the quarterly surveillance. On November 23,1997, at 1025 nours, the plant was taken off line to facilitate maintenance oi. the MSIVs. The plant ended the reporting period in a shutdown condition. Maintenance activ".ies were performed in accordance with the outage schedule. No scfety relief valve challenges occurred during the reporting period.
