McGuire Nuclear Station Docket Nos. 50-369, 50-370 Technical Specification Amendment for Containment Penetrations
Dear Mr. Denton:
By letter dated May 14, 1986, Duke Power proposed changes to relocate tables listing containment isolation valves (Table 3.6-2) from the Technical Specifi-cations into the Bases and to change the tables to reflect planned modifications.
As the result of a recent internal audit, it was determined that several changes are needed.
Additionally, per discussions between our respective staffs, it has been deter-mined that the Outage Service Penetrations need not be added to the table as these penetrations terminate in the annulus. This would exhaust any leakage from the penetrations through the annulus ventilation system, thus eliminating these penetrations as secondary containment bypass leakage paths.
The affected pages are included in Attachment 1; a summary of the changes and the justification are included in Attachment 2. provides an analysis conforming to the standards contained in 10CFR 50.92 as required by 10CFR 50.91 which concludes that the proposed changes do not involve a significant hazards consideration.
This request supplements an earlier proposal, thus no fees are enclosed.
