FIRE PROTECTION - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REQUESTED FOR THE JULY 28, 1986 COMPLIANCE INSPECTION NRC letter dated May 29, 1986 confirmed that the Palisades Plant would be inspected on July 28 - August 1, 1986 for compliance with 10CFR50, Appendix R.

In addition, the May 29, 1986 NRC letter requested Consumers Power Company to provide, by July 14, 1986, additional information to enable proper NRC preparation for and performance of that inspection. Eleven (11) categories of additional information were enumerated and requested by the May 29, 1986 NRC letter; and, to further assist the inspection effort, the letter requested a summary list of deviations / exemptions requested and granted or requested and pending.

This letter transmits the requested information in the form of attachments.

Attachment A is an index to the numerically designated attachments 1-12. provides the information requested as Item I in the May 29, 1986 NRC letter, Attachment 2 provides the information requested as Item 2, and so forth through Item 11.

A summary of deviations / exemptions granted or pending is included as Attachment 12.
