This letter constitutes Transnuclear Inc.'s advance notification to the USh7C in compliance with the requimments as outlined in 10 CFR 73.74(a)(1)(2) for an import shipment of natural uranium from Countries that are not pany to the Convention on the Pityskal Protection of Nuclear Material.

40 Type A model DHTF dmms containing: RQ " Radioactive Material, Fissile, N.O.S. 7, UN2918 (U238, U235) enriched Uranium in the form of Uranium Dioxide UO2 pellets enrichment less than 5% U235.
Approximate weight of UO2: 38436.19 kg U: 3387.381 kg U235: 141.952 kg The above shipment is scheduled to leave CDO airport, France on 9-17-97 via Air France ETA JFK International Airport, Jamaica, NY 9-17-97.
40 Type A model DHTF drums containing: RQ " Radioactive Material, Fissile, N.O.S. 7, UN2918 (U238, U235) enriched Uranium in the form of Uranium Dioxide UO2 pellets enrichment less than 5% U235.

The above shipment is scheduled to leave CDG airport, France on 9-17-97 via Air France ETA JFK 1rremational Airport, Jamaica, NY 9-17-97.
Following Customs clearance, delivery to Framatome Cogema Fuel, Lynchburgh, VA, is estimated between 0700 hrs and 1800 hrs on 9-19 97.
