Thank you for your timely submittal of the scope and objectives for the August 19, 1986 emergency exercise at the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant.
We have reviewed this information and determined that it meets NRC guidelines with two exceptions.
Emergency radiation exposure control and access control were not included in the exercise scope or exercise objectives.
From telephone discussions between Mr. Anthony P. Katarsky of your staff and Mr. James P. Patterson of my staff, we understand that these two exercise objectives will be included with the original 13 objectives submitted in your letter of June 5,1986. Also it is our understanding that both participants and controllers will be informed of these two additional objectives before the exercise date of August 19, 1986.
