Scioto Memorial Hospital wishes to terminate special nuclear medicine license

  1. SNM1788. There are now no patient's containing nuclear pacemaker implanted under this license.

The only patient implanted under this license was Mr. Tony E. Christy, implanted November 19, 1977. This nucle.ar pacemaker was removed at Our Lady of Bellefont Hospital in Ashland, Ky. and was returned to Medtronic, the manufacturer and is now in their possession.

There are no plans to implant future nuclear pacemakers.

These matters have been previously discussed at the Radiation Safety meetings and with the consulting Radiation physicist.

Sincerely,
