This refers to the safety inspection conducted by G. Napuda of this office on
February 24-28, 1986 at the Northeast Utilities Corporate office in Berlin,
Connecticut and at the Haddam Neck plant in Haddam Neck, Connecticut of activ-
ities authorized by NRC License No. OPR-61 and to the discussions of our find-
ings held by Mr. Napuda with Mr. R. Graves and other members of your staff at
the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
